This is really hilarious! My birthday is July 3rd, and as a child, my extended family often came for a visit (because of the holiday the following day.) For a long time (longer than was probably appropriate) I thought that their visit and the fireworks, of course, were for me!

Same goes for my son, a New Year’s Eve baby. Always thought the parties were for him. He’s 20 now – I think he still does!
